“For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out and everything changes. To someone who doesn't understand growth, it would look like complete destruction.” — Cynthia Occelli, 2014
There are many different phases of life where we can start to feel stuck. Whether we’re entering or leaving a relationship, changing careers, trying to forge a healthier bond with our bodies, or just searching for a deeper, more meaningful life, moving forward can sometimes feel impossible. That spot—that feeling of wanting change but not being certain which way to turn, that is where I come in. As a certified life coach, I will:
Provide an objective, clear, but also compassionate perspective on your life/situation
Help identify patterns of thought and action that aren’t serving you.
Create awareness around your “whys”. Example: What are some the reasons you attach to certain thoughts and actions over and over again?
Suggest and explore meaningful and manageable steps you can start to take to initiate the changes you are seeking.
Hold up a mirror, shine a light, and also hold your hand as you start to take said steps.
Leave you with real-world tools that you learn to use during our time together, and can take with you to fall back on as you navigate all different situations and stages of your life.
I rely on a combination of training and personal experience to coach my clients. I specialize in the following:
body image and wellness
post eating disorder recovery*
post substance abuse recovery*
relationships-marital, familial, professional
self-love and self-compassion
personal care and life balance
establishing and achieving life goals
My approach is unique as it’s built on the foundation of the belief that true integration of our mind, body, and spirit is necessary for continual growth and development. This means that all clients, regardless of the reason they have sought me as a coach, are encouraged to move and develop (if they haven’t already) wellness habits that will create consciousness and communication between all their faculties.
Because I rely partly on my own experience, there is a shared vulnerability and trust between my clients and I. The relationships we form are built on willingness, openness, and honesty. My goal is to help you step into your full power. This means delving into self awareness and creating consciousness around where you struggle. It means moving through, not around, areas you’d rather avoid, and coming out on the other side a stronger, clearer, and truer version of your self.
*Acute issues such as eating disorders and substance abuse must first be addressed through dedicated (professional or otherwise) mental and physical recovery. After this point (or simultaneously if appropriate), I work with clients seeking to deepen their recovery through spiritual and/or practical real-life solutions that they can utilize as they move forward and navigate life without their addictive behavior or substance.
